25 weeks and 1 day

Today the lovely Korey took my weekly belly pics.

I really like this picture of me and Nathan.

I haven't really had many pictures taken from the front. I was curious to see if my bump was more noticeable from that angle.
Looks like I'm carrying a pumpkin.
I had to get a picture with the lovely Korey.

Update on house situation

We still have not heard from the bank lady. Nathan has called her many times and left her several voice mail. Still no call back. Its been 2 weeks already. Its been very frustrating. Our patience has been tested so much these last few months.

Today Nathan called our bank and talked to a person about the situation. She actually answered some questions for him. As of right now we don't qualify for the first time buyer thing. We were seeing if there was a way of not having to put any money down. Even though this other house wouldn't be our first house its b/c we would then own 2 houses. Its hard to explain. We qualify to put 3% down which is $4,000. That is a lot but not as bad as it could be. She said if we decide to sell our current house then it would help greatly and we wouldn't have to put anything down.

Nathan has talked about emailing that other bank lady and see if she replies. Right now we are weighing our options and in for some more prayer time. We're anxious about getting this whole thing figured out but we want God's will in this. Hopefully soon we will know something. Please keep us in your prayers.

Doctors Visit Today

My appointment was at 10:30 this morning. I did the usual go sign in and then went to the bathroom to pee in a cup. I had to go into a different bathroom this time and its not very well lit. That made it hard to see if I was peeing in the cup or not. I know that was probably TMI.

My name was called and the nurse weighed me. I only gained 1 pound since last month. I didn't think that was too bad. My blood pressure was 118 over 76. She also pricked my finger to see how my iron count was and to make sure I'm not anemic. She said it looked great. Thankfully I don't have to have that done for a while. Which makes me very happy.

I finally got to meet a doctor today, Dr. Alt. Although I felt like it was rushed. She was very nice. I talked to her all about the concerns I had last week such as: mild cramping, feeling like my stomach was falling when I would stand, and other pains inside. She said all of that is normal. The pains I believe we're from my little boy kicking my uterus or cervix really hard. I was able to hear his heartbeat again. That's the best part of the visit. Last time his heartbeat was 133 bpm this time it was 142 bpm. He has a very strong heartbeat. Like music to a Mother's ear. She also measured from the top of my uterus to my pelvic bone and said it was 24 inches. She said everything looked and sounded great.

My next visit is August 13th at 11:00am. I'll taking the glucose test. I'm not looking forward to it. Thankfully I can eat breakfast before I go. I have to remember to limit foods high in sugar and carbohydrates. 3 more weeks!

Jewelry Display

Last month Nicole posted an entry of her jewelry display. I mentioned to her how I need to take a picture of mine.

Here's my jewelry display:

I love being able to see my jewelry so easily. It also makes for a pretty display on my dresser. I can't take credit for this great idea. A year or two ago I got the idea from Elsie Flannigan. This isn't all my jewelry. I placed the longest and biggest necklaces in the bottom. I left the rest in my jewelry box.

Baby items

I recently took some pictures of some baby items either I bought or have received. I thought I would post some of them on here. :)

I bought this really cute onesie at Target for $3. Of course he won't be able to wear it for a while since it is 18 months. I couldn't pass it up for that price.

I bought this on clearance from Kohls. The dragon reminds me of the one from "Pete's Dragon". I actually bought this way before we even started trying.

I think this is just too funny.

Baby's Uncle Christopher bought this shirt the last time he was in Atlanta. He's so proud of this shirt. There will be plenty of pictures of him wearing it.

Nathan's parents bought this little outfit recently. I love the turtles!

Here's a picture of me holding the beautiful baby blanket that Melody made. It is so soft. I can't wait to wrap my baby up in it.

This adorable outfit is from Uncle Franklin and Auntie Korey. I love the owl on it.

Another bundle of cute outfits from Uncle Franklin and Auntie Korey. I was too lazy to take pictures of each individual items. My favorite is the the one that's green and yellow striped.

I bought this adorable onesie on clearance (I love clearance!) at Old Navy. I bought this before we knew the sex of the baby. I couldn't pass it up. I love that its green and has a turtle on it.

Nathan's parents bought this adorable sleeper.

Nathan's Papa bought these adorable USC booties at Cracker Barrel. If your from South Carolina you know the 2 biggest teams are USC Gamecocks and Clemson Tigers. To be quite honest we're not sports fans, so we don't care. Even though I do look the look of Clemson stuff better. I couldn't hardly believe his Papa bought these. You just have to know him. Apparently babies make him an old softy. I plan on keeping those little booties forever. They even came in a plastic case. So that's great.

The other day we stopped by Nathan's Grandparents house. They said they had some for us. Here's what his Papa handed us.

Here's what was inside:
That's right, his Papa bought Clemson booties this time! He said he couldn't help it. I loved how he said the baby had to have them. I will keep those booties forever. I also plan on taking lots of pictures of our little boy wearing them while he's still a newborn.

Tonight I found a new set of crib bedding online that I just ADORE!! I'll post that next time.

24 weeks

I had my pictures taken on time this go around. I thought they turned out well minus the fact I'm wearing a baggy t-shirt.

Earlier this week I could tell that our little boy wasn't moving as much. At first it scared me. I talked to Nathan's Mom and she said her kids did the same thing around that time. He is moving more now but not like he was. I can tell his kicks and other movements are much stronger now. It actually hurts sometimes when he kicks. I wouldn't trade those painful kicks for the world. When he kicks I know he's doing well.

I have my OB appointment this Wednesday at 10:30am. I'm actually looking forward to it. I need to write the questions out that I've been thinking about. Then again that is if I can remember them.

23 weeks and 2 days

There's no pictures this time around. I wasn't in the mood for pictures. Oh well there's always next time.

In my last post I was talking about how I could see the baby moving all over my belly. Well I couldn't sleep that night due to discomfort. I laid in bed and watched tv shows on my laptop. While I was laying there the baby moved all over the place. Even more so than earlier. It really did look like I had an alien in my belly. I could see him rolling all over my belly. I loved it! I wish I had it on video.

One night I could feel him playing in my lower abdomen. It felt like he was typing or playing the piano. lol I could feel individual fingers tapping across my belly. I've never felt that before and it was such a neat feeling.

Part of yesterday and today I've been feeling some mild cramping. I googled it and it said to be Braxton-Hicks contractions. I was kind of worried at first but I realized I shouldn't be. Everything has been normal so far. I know my belly is growing again. My ligaments and skin is stretching again. I'm almost 6 months so its to be expected.

I go next Wednesday for my OB appointment. I better see a doctor this time. I haven't met any of them yet and I don't have that much time to meet them all. They claim I have time, but no not really. I have 6 doctors to meet. I hope and pray I feel comfortable with all of them. I've heard good things about them. Hopefully that's a good sign.
