25 weeks and 1 day

Today the lovely Korey took my weekly belly pics.

I really like this picture of me and Nathan.

I haven't really had many pictures taken from the front. I was curious to see if my bump was more noticeable from that angle.
Looks like I'm carrying a pumpkin.
I had to get a picture with the lovely Korey.

Update on house situation

We still have not heard from the bank lady. Nathan has called her many times and left her several voice mail. Still no call back. Its been 2 weeks already. Its been very frustrating. Our patience has been tested so much these last few months.

Today Nathan called our bank and talked to a person about the situation. She actually answered some questions for him. As of right now we don't qualify for the first time buyer thing. We were seeing if there was a way of not having to put any money down. Even though this other house wouldn't be our first house its b/c we would then own 2 houses. Its hard to explain. We qualify to put 3% down which is $4,000. That is a lot but not as bad as it could be. She said if we decide to sell our current house then it would help greatly and we wouldn't have to put anything down.

Nathan has talked about emailing that other bank lady and see if she replies. Right now we are weighing our options and in for some more prayer time. We're anxious about getting this whole thing figured out but we want God's will in this. Hopefully soon we will know something. Please keep us in your prayers.

Doctors Visit Today

My appointment was at 10:30 this morning. I did the usual go sign in and then went to the bathroom to pee in a cup. I had to go into a different bathroom this time and its not very well lit. That made it hard to see if I was peeing in the cup or not. I know that was probably TMI.

My name was called and the nurse weighed me. I only gained 1 pound since last month. I didn't think that was too bad. My blood pressure was 118 over 76. She also pricked my finger to see how my iron count was and to make sure I'm not anemic. She said it looked great. Thankfully I don't have to have that done for a while. Which makes me very happy.

I finally got to meet a doctor today, Dr. Alt. Although I felt like it was rushed. She was very nice. I talked to her all about the concerns I had last week such as: mild cramping, feeling like my stomach was falling when I would stand, and other pains inside. She said all of that is normal. The pains I believe we're from my little boy kicking my uterus or cervix really hard. I was able to hear his heartbeat again. That's the best part of the visit. Last time his heartbeat was 133 bpm this time it was 142 bpm. He has a very strong heartbeat. Like music to a Mother's ear. She also measured from the top of my uterus to my pelvic bone and said it was 24 inches. She said everything looked and sounded great.

My next visit is August 13th at 11:00am. I'll taking the glucose test. I'm not looking forward to it. Thankfully I can eat breakfast before I go. I have to remember to limit foods high in sugar and carbohydrates. 3 more weeks!

Jewelry Display

Last month Nicole posted an entry of her jewelry display. I mentioned to her how I need to take a picture of mine.

Here's my jewelry display:

I love being able to see my jewelry so easily. It also makes for a pretty display on my dresser. I can't take credit for this great idea. A year or two ago I got the idea from Elsie Flannigan. This isn't all my jewelry. I placed the longest and biggest necklaces in the bottom. I left the rest in my jewelry box.

Baby items

I recently took some pictures of some baby items either I bought or have received. I thought I would post some of them on here. :)

I bought this really cute onesie at Target for $3. Of course he won't be able to wear it for a while since it is 18 months. I couldn't pass it up for that price.

I bought this on clearance from Kohls. The dragon reminds me of the one from "Pete's Dragon". I actually bought this way before we even started trying.

I think this is just too funny.

Baby's Uncle Christopher bought this shirt the last time he was in Atlanta. He's so proud of this shirt. There will be plenty of pictures of him wearing it.

Nathan's parents bought this little outfit recently. I love the turtles!

Here's a picture of me holding the beautiful baby blanket that Melody made. It is so soft. I can't wait to wrap my baby up in it.

This adorable outfit is from Uncle Franklin and Auntie Korey. I love the owl on it.

Another bundle of cute outfits from Uncle Franklin and Auntie Korey. I was too lazy to take pictures of each individual items. My favorite is the the one that's green and yellow striped.

I bought this adorable onesie on clearance (I love clearance!) at Old Navy. I bought this before we knew the sex of the baby. I couldn't pass it up. I love that its green and has a turtle on it.

Nathan's parents bought this adorable sleeper.

Nathan's Papa bought these adorable USC booties at Cracker Barrel. If your from South Carolina you know the 2 biggest teams are USC Gamecocks and Clemson Tigers. To be quite honest we're not sports fans, so we don't care. Even though I do look the look of Clemson stuff better. I couldn't hardly believe his Papa bought these. You just have to know him. Apparently babies make him an old softy. I plan on keeping those little booties forever. They even came in a plastic case. So that's great.

The other day we stopped by Nathan's Grandparents house. They said they had some for us. Here's what his Papa handed us.

Here's what was inside:
That's right, his Papa bought Clemson booties this time! He said he couldn't help it. I loved how he said the baby had to have them. I will keep those booties forever. I also plan on taking lots of pictures of our little boy wearing them while he's still a newborn.

Tonight I found a new set of crib bedding online that I just ADORE!! I'll post that next time.

24 weeks

I had my pictures taken on time this go around. I thought they turned out well minus the fact I'm wearing a baggy t-shirt.

Earlier this week I could tell that our little boy wasn't moving as much. At first it scared me. I talked to Nathan's Mom and she said her kids did the same thing around that time. He is moving more now but not like he was. I can tell his kicks and other movements are much stronger now. It actually hurts sometimes when he kicks. I wouldn't trade those painful kicks for the world. When he kicks I know he's doing well.

I have my OB appointment this Wednesday at 10:30am. I'm actually looking forward to it. I need to write the questions out that I've been thinking about. Then again that is if I can remember them.

23 weeks and 2 days

There's no pictures this time around. I wasn't in the mood for pictures. Oh well there's always next time.

In my last post I was talking about how I could see the baby moving all over my belly. Well I couldn't sleep that night due to discomfort. I laid in bed and watched tv shows on my laptop. While I was laying there the baby moved all over the place. Even more so than earlier. It really did look like I had an alien in my belly. I could see him rolling all over my belly. I loved it! I wish I had it on video.

One night I could feel him playing in my lower abdomen. It felt like he was typing or playing the piano. lol I could feel individual fingers tapping across my belly. I've never felt that before and it was such a neat feeling.

Part of yesterday and today I've been feeling some mild cramping. I googled it and it said to be Braxton-Hicks contractions. I was kind of worried at first but I realized I shouldn't be. Everything has been normal so far. I know my belly is growing again. My ligaments and skin is stretching again. I'm almost 6 months so its to be expected.

I go next Wednesday for my OB appointment. I better see a doctor this time. I haven't met any of them yet and I don't have that much time to meet them all. They claim I have time, but no not really. I have 6 doctors to meet. I hope and pray I feel comfortable with all of them. I've heard good things about them. Hopefully that's a good sign.

Crazy movements

A little bit ago I was watching my belly jump all over the place. Its so weird to see my belly sticking out in ways I never knew possible. As strange as it feels I love every minute of it. Sometimes I feel like I'm carrying a soccer player. My little boy sure knows how to move. Every move he makes just reminds me how I blessed I am to be carrying him.

I need to start videotaping my belly when he kicks it outward. Now I just need to remember to keep some batteries charged.

Wondrous Pedicure

It was amazing!! I had no idea it would make me feel so good. It was just nice soaking my feet. What I'd give to do that again right now. While the nice lady pampered me I got to read a magazine and enjoy a massage from the chair I sat in. It was heavenly. She scrubbed my legs and feet then slathered them with lotion. My skin was as soft as a baby's bottom. Then she painted my toes a wine color. Here's some pictures of my toes (the color is so much prettier in person):

I had a wonderful time and plan to do this again before the baby is born! :)

Pedicure

Still no news from the bank lady yet. Nathan is thinking about calling tomorrow. We're praying for good news.

Tomorrow night my friend Kelly and I will be getting pedicures. I have never had a manicure or pedicure in my life. Unless you count the so-called manicure I had at the career center I attended in high school. I personally don't count that. haha Needless to say I'm very excited!! I can't wait to have my feet pampered. Since my feet are already starting to swell easily I thought that pedicure may help. Kelly is about to have her baby next week so she really deserves it! It will be fun girl time. Afterwards I think we are going to browse magazines at Barnes & Noble. Should be fun. I'll post pictures of my pretty toes tomorrow. :)

22 weeks and 1 day

I'm finally posting these pictures. I would have posted them sooner, but I've been staying at my parents while Nathan is out of town.

I can tell I'm getting bigger again. My belly is almost rounded. I can't wait till I'm round, because I'm tired of people telling me I don't look pregnant. I imagine most pregnant women do not want to hear that. Well, I'm that way. I'm so excited about this pregnancy and I want to look pregnant.

In my last post I forgot to mention how he's been hiccuping a lot. There are times where it about takes my breath away. Its a funny but weird feeling when he does that. I can feel his whole body jumping. lol The other week when Melody was here she had a bad case of the hiccups. He reacted to her hiccups and he moved like CRAZY!! I thought he was surely going to come out.

I love feeling him move. There have been times where I feel like something is lodged near my pelvis. It has to be either his shoulder or arm. When he does that I can hardly bend forward. I have to lean back until he moves again. I can almost tell a difference between kicking with this feet and other body parts. Its an amazing feeling.

Real soon I plan on posting an entry of different baby items I already have. We were recently given some adorable booties from Nathan's Papa. They will melt your heart.

Possibly buying a new house

A while back we found out that Nathan's great-aunt was having to sale her home. She has a lot of health problems and she can no longer afford it. Well someone mentioned to Nathan that we should go look at it. To be quite honest I wasn't to excited about it. Not really sure why. Last Tuesday we went to go look at it. I was very surprised at what I saw. The house was beautiful and so is the neighborhood. Seemed very peaceful. Here's a picture of the house (excuse the poor quality, it was taken by the realtor):

After seeing the outside I was excited about seeing the inside. The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The house is 1500 sq. ft. To my surprise it was really spacious. The living room was HUGE. Its a 26x13 to be exact. There is a gorgeous stone fireplace but gas logs are in there. We looked at the master bedroom and its the biggest bedroom...17x11. The downside is the bathroom isn't that big at all. There may be a way of expanding it one day. I can get past it since the rest of the house is so large. I was really happy when I found out there was a walk in closet!! I have never had one. There's even built-ins. I was in love. haha

The kitchen is a 13x12. Since there isn't a formal dining room the dining table would have to stay in the kitchen. There is plenty of room in the living room to have it in there but I would be fine with it in the kitchen. I was happy to see a laundry room that I can walk into. There's also enough room to put our chest freezer in there as well. Bedroom #2 is a 14x12 and Bedroom #3 is 13x11. They both have very large closets(I'm so stoked about that). The other bathroom is also small and its right next to Bedroom #3.

We went to the back yard and there is a beautiful deck on the back too. I love the idea of being able to have cook outs there and it feeling private. There's plenty of room for patio furniture. :) Another great feature about the back yard is that part of it is fenced in. That's a wonderful thing for our baby. :) Nathan's Aunt is leaving her 2 person jacuzzi out there. I was thrilled about that! Further to the back of the yard is another deck that overlooks the river. This house is wonderful!! She's also leaving all appliances. One of those appliances is a dishwasher!!! I have never had one!!

Overall its a great house. Most things that need to be changed are all cosmetic. I'd love to paint (which I can't do while pregnant) and take down the UGLY wallpaper. She told us that the siding on the house is only 2 years old, the roof is 5 years old, and it hasn't been long ago since she had new windows installed.

Right now we are waiting on the bank lady to let us know if we qualify to purchase this house. Not only that but we are planning on renting out our house if we qualify for that too. Our good friends will be renting our current home from us if we qualify. We are praying that everything works out. We want God's will to be done in our life. For the longest time we tried to get contractors to come out here and give us an estimate. We wanted to add on to our home. Well no one wanted to call us back. We still haven't heard from the last man. It really feels like God is telling us to move on. Even though we are still waiting on the bank lady to call us, we feel like things are coming together faster for this. We shall see what God has in store for us. All we can do now is just continue to pray.

I'm so in love with this house that I'm already decorating it in my mind. If we do get it then I plan on doing a lot of yard saling and thrift store shopping. I really want to decorate that home unlike I have done with our current home. I've done things here but not like I want to. I like the idea of a clean slate. I really want to make that house look different than this one. There's more options with it. If we do get that house then you can expect a lot of entries on home improvement/decor. I'm so anxious I can hardly stand it. Hopefully we will find out something in the next week or so. Till then.

21 weeks and 1 day

Melody took this picture on Sunday. It was the best one out of the bunch. :)

As I keep saying every week my little one is very active. He gets more active each day it seems. A little bit ago I looked down at my belly to see if I could see his movements. He was kicking so hard I was sure I could. I kept an eye on my belly and sure enough I saw it move. It was almost like a wave went over my belly. It was absolutely amazing to see!!!

On Sunday while we were at my parents house, my Mom felt the baby move. As soon as she felt him kick I grabbed Nathan's hand and placed it on my belly. I waited a minute and then asked if he felt anything. He said, "No all I felt was you jump". I said, "That wasn't me, that was the baby." :) He was so surprised. I was so happy that he finally felt him move. I just wish he was the first one to feel. Korey's little brother and Melody got to feel him move too.

On Monday Nathan's parents and siblings got to feel him move too. I was so happy. Now the rest of my family has to feel too. :)
